Yesterday I worked nearly all day long on my very new blog! I’m still on WordPress, but my blog is now self-hosted and using WordPress.org platform, which gives me much more control and possibilities.

The sad smile of the pandas

I was looking for something different, comfortable and not too pricey!

I found cute pink shoes (which will fit my bouquet) with a nice white decoration, quite comfortable (after all it is heels and I’m really not used to walk in them), plus there was a 40% discount!

The wedding date is coming really soon and I’m finally getting really excited about it

In two weeks from now I’ll be planning my hairstyle for the wedding.

Okay it’s not exactly me who’ll be making my hair, but you get the point…

I really want something simple that I will feel comfortable with but at the same time something special and pretty.

Here are a few hairstyles I found on the net and really liked. By the way, I have long blonde hair.

New Year is always a good time to look back and think about the year that just passed, but in my opinion, it’s a better time to look forward and think about your goals for the New Year!

The one major thing that I wish for myself for the New Year is to be less stressed about things that are happening in my life. I really need to learn how to deal with everyday things in a more relaxed and calm way, because otherwise it effects my health (I’m not kidding, I have a really severe hair loss because of this stress, it’s not worth it people). Life is too short to be that stressed at my age or any age for that matter. So goodbye stress! You are no longer welcome in my life.

And here are some other smaller goals, if you wish

• Find a proper job. This is actually one of the reasons for my stress, but let’s not talks about that again. I want to find a good, satisfying job in my profession and work a full time job already! (Been working on a part time job for the past year). I know that once this goal is achieved, other good things will come naturally.
• Spend more time with my loved ones. That’s so important. It’s sad but it’s one of these things that you only realize retrospect. You don’t need to wait for people to leave your life in order to value their friendship and love! Just cherish every moment that you have with your loved ones – both family and friends, it’s priceless.
• Read more. Stop being lazy and find million excuses and just read!
• Write even more. Probably my biggest passion of them all. I have been neglecting my writing for so long (both poetry and a book I’m writing), I need to get back to it as soon as possible. Don’t you find it odd that we don’t give our hobbies and passions enough room in our lives?
• Love harder. Without boundaries and walls, without looking back at the past and letting it dictate the present. Love generously and show it!
• Take care of my health. Exercise more! Again it has to do with being so lazy! I love sport, I’ve always been this tom-boy girl who loves being active. I already started getting back to it (tennis and running) but it has to be more intense, because of  the simple reason that it is making me feel better about myself, and obviously good for my health.

I wish you all, even if you don’t celebrate the Hebrew New Year – have a great year, enjoy your time, do the things that make you happy, find a special time for it! Show the people you love that you care about them; don’t think that they already know! Make them feel special and valuable for you and your life.

Celebrate life. We only live once.

My partner and I, with the good help of the Veterinarian Center of Even Yehuda, have developed an educational website for children about animals and pets. There are many activities children can do in this website -

• Read and learn about different kind of species of animals.
• Learn how to take care of their pets.
• Adopt a pet from the vet center by using the online gallery.
• Enjoy the fun zone where they can see videos and photos, play games and read interesting stories about animals.
• Ask the vet a question (in the future there will be a FAQ section, where all the questions and answers will be published).

The website name is “Klavtulim”, which is a combination of the words cat and dog in Hebrew.

For me, it’s the small things in life that make the difference –

• My baby nephew’s smile or first words
• A chocolate my colleague gave my yesterday when she saw me cry
• Watching Roxy my cat sleep
• A call from my dad telling me that I don’t have to worry about a thing
• My boyfriend trying to make me laugh

Beautiful craft works

Here are a few handmade items I received lately – First are beautiful notecards made by the lovely Beth from Deer Little Fawn. I got these simply for being her 500^th blog follower, how cool is this?

And here are some items I’ve ordered from Ribonita, it took a really long time to arrive (not the seller’s fault but rather the post office), but it was worth it. Carla draws and creates beautiful sweet creatures, she is really talented! See for yourself

So if it works for me, it can surely work for you too, practice positive thinking and focus on the small things in life that make you happy.

I still don’t work a full time job. This may seem odd or crazy in times like these to work a part time job, but this was actually a professional decision. I studied for 3 years for quite a unique degree (Instructional Design) and I really wanted to work in this field and gain as much working experience as I possibly could.

Now, after a year of working and gaining some experience, and while a big protest against the cost of living in my country is still ongoing, I think I made a mistake. Maybe I should have given up on my profession and find a proper full time job? Maybe I should have stayed in my last job, where I earned a very nice salary but was miserable?

I know it’s not the time to look back (in anger) at the past, but rather look further to the future. I really try to do it, but let me tell you – this is hard.

I wish we were more like animals. Yes, they have to worry about food and their lives all the time, but at least they are free.

We, as human beings, are not free.

Yesterday I got this beautiful Clamshell and pearl necklace from Owl Loves Panda. I really love this store, this is the 3^rd time that I’m ordering stuff from there and I always get compliments about the things that I order. Hayley (the shop owner) always spoils me with a nice treat! This time it was a squirrel badge, so cute! Thanks a lot Hayley, much appreciated. If you like delicate-vintage jewelry, you should definitely check her store!

Talking about vintage, yesterday I  bought my wedding dress! I still find it hard to believe that I found my dress at the first place I went to visit! This was the 3^rd dress that I tried on and it was so pretty It’s really hard for me to see myself in a dress since I don’t wear dresses (I’m quite a tomboy actually, last time I wore a dress was at my sister’s wedding, about 6 years ago), but this one was really lovely and I especially loved the handmade accessories that were made by the super nice shop owner. She really made this experience nice and pleasant for a person like myself (who hates shopping and was waiting for a traumatizing experience ). You can check her store Dvarim Tovim (which means “good stuff”) –  it’s in Hebrew but you can still see some photos and get impressed by her stuff.

So things are progressing with the wedding – my boyfriend and I nearly finished designing our wedding invitation (ok, it was mainly him who designed it), and it looks absolutely amazing! Once it’s done I’ll definitely share it here.

It’s been a really long time since I’ve written here.

Many things have happened in my life in this period. The most important and exciting thing is probably the fact that my boyfriend proposed and we are getting married! I still find it hard to believe Secondly, my boyfriend and I moved to a really beautiful apartment. We live close to the tennis courts where I learnt to play tennis as a child, and therefore we get to play quite a lot, which is just fantastic.

Not many changes at work, still doing my job, there are many nice projects so I really can’t complain at the moment. At the end of August I will finally finish (hopefully) my final project, and by doing so, I’ll say my last goodbye to my dear degree

These are exciting times in my life and I’m feeling really blessed.

Can’t wait to start the preparation for our wedding, which will be really small and intimate. If everything goes well, we plan our honeymoon sometime before Christmas. It’s always been my dream to travel Europe during Christmas.

Enough complaining

So there’s only 1 month till I finish my degree, then a few months (2 I think) when I’ll be working on my final project and that’s it! At work I’m still waiting for some tests in order to get accepted to this job I really want, this will be such a good positive change in my life and I really want it to work! I need this change.

Next week I’m going on a short vacation to the northern city Haifa. Can’t wait to just relax, see beautiful places, take some pictures and just have fun!

Today is the royal wedding of William and Kate, I have to say that even though I’m not British I’m quite excited about it. Always loved the royal life (who doesn’t).
